Our Story

The History of Main Point Academy It began in 2022 – during one of the most challenging periods for Ukraine. We asked ourselves: what should a school be like where a child feels safe, is academically strong, and grows as an individual?
This is how the idea of MPA was born – a community of children, parents and educators united by common values: dignity, integrity, partnership and Ukrainian identity.
Today, it is a modern private school in Uzhhorod with over 170 pupils, where academic strength, care for the child and preparation for life in a constantly changing world are combined daily. A place where every child finds their own Main Point.

Philosophy in action

These aren't just words on walls. They are principles we live by every day.

Integrity

Doing good, even when no one is watching! Honesty with oneself and the world begins in childhood and becomes an internal compass for life. We are raising people who can be trusted – honest, capable of admitting mistakes, and acting responsibly. In practice, this means: cheating invalidates the grade, tasks «from AI» do not affect the final score, and compassion and readiness to act are the norm, not the exception.

Ukrainian identity

Deep roots for a confident future! Without understanding «Who am I and who are we?», neither personality can grow nor life resilience be formed. National identity is strong roots that hold the inner core during times of uncertainty. We are raising children as Ukrainians, open to the world and dignified amongst equals. In practice, this means: the Ukrainian language is the norm, not the exception; the school calendar is lived through Ukrainian holidays and events; and every morning at MRA begins with the national anthem and a minute of silence.

Partnership

Together we can achieve more! The school, pupils and parents are partners in the common cause of a child's development. We build bridges between people, communities and spheres of activity: businesses in Transcarpathia, educational institutions in Ukraine and abroad, cultural centres and public figures. In practice, this means: high school students visit real businesses through the «Career Navigator» project, participate in student research and go on international educational tours.

Academic power

High expectations and genuine achievements. A friendly atmosphere and high academic standards are not a contradiction, but the norm. We unlock each child's strengths, encourage them to think deeply and not fear challenges. The main measure of success is progress, engagement, and motivation, not just grades. In practice, this means: a child from abroad catches up on two years' worth of curriculum in 12 months; a graduate passes Cambridge B2 as part of their regular studies; sixth-graders compete to see who can write a test faster; fifth-graders research Vitamin C in juices; senior students, without preparation, win second place in an English Olympiad.

Dignity

Every person matters! At MRA, we build an environment where everyone feels respected. We are diverse, but equal. Humiliation, fear, and shame are not tools of upbringing. Instead, we teach children to stand up for their own opinions, respect the boundaries of others, and build relationships based on respect. In practice, this means: students address teachers as «Mr./Ms. NAME» because trust is more important than distance; «My responsibility» is not a punishment, but a conversation about causes and consequences; and the most valuable result is a conscious «I'm sorry» and a sincere hug.
