Main Point Academy Growth point people and ideas

A school that is shaping a new culture of responsible education.

School as a focal point for a child

Main Point Academy is an environment where a child grows as a person and learns to feel their own worth.
We see MPA as a landmark for the region – a school that sets the standard for educational model, academic strength, and indeed, genuine human interaction.
Quality education is not an option. It's a strategic decision for a family.

    FAQ

    Everything worth knowing before enrolling at Main Point.
    The training period is 10 months (35 academic weeks according to the Ministry of Education and Science standard).
    The academic year and holiday schedule is approved in August and sent to pupils and parents.
    The year is planned according to recommendations for a balance between learning and rest activities. After every 5–7 weeks of study, there is a week of holidays. During the holidays at MRA, the following occur:
    – daytime camp for pupils in years 1–4.;
    — consultations with teachers of various subjects for grades 5–11;
    — meetings with parents and providing feedback;
    — Training day and learning for the teaching team.
    The school week lasts for 5 days – from Monday to Friday inclusive.
    A school day
    8:50–15:30 — Basic school day (7 lesson periods);
    16:00–17:30 — Talent development studios, individual sessions.
    We're having lunch in a cafe with a great atmosphere, a collection of retro cameras and... a motorcycle on the wall! Because such details matter and help shape dining culture.
    The lunch menu is approved for a month, the catering establishment has a licence to provide catering services for children.
    The lunch includes a starter, main course and side dish, seasonal salad, bread and sauces, compote, tea or cocoa. We'll let you in on a secret: we have burgers, kebabs, and pizza on our menu.
    Children are also provided with a snack at 11:00 and afternoon tea at 15:45.
    In the case of individual catering, packages are available without included lunches.
    Snacks can be brought to school optionally.
    Okay. The shelter is located at: Pidhradskа Street, 31. The safety of children is paramount!
    MRA uses the universally accepted 12-point grading system for pupils in years 5-11.
    Pupils in grades 1–2 are assessed using a skills development criterion (developed / developing), while pupils in grades 3–4 have skill assessment levels (low, medium, sufficient, and high). State-approved certificates of achievement are issued twice a year (1st semester, 2nd semester, annual assessment). Detailed feedback on a pupil's progress is provided once every 5–7 weeks and at the end of the year.
    In the electronic diary, comments from teachers are available as formative assessment and to encourage students' engagement.
    In the MRA, a process is foreseen for improving a child's assessment in case of desire and work done on mistakes. We are delighted when students strive for a better result! Assessment is not a sentence, but the result of activity and effort in learning.
    Applications for studies can be submitted at any time during the academic year. The transfer of students takes place in accordance with the Education Act and involves the provision of a certificate from the school and the transfer of the child's personal file.
    The application process, meeting with the family and trial days will proceed as standard. Admission is possible if there are spaces available in the class. If there are no spaces, the student may be placed on a waiting list.
    It's important for us to find our own, and it doesn't matter when that happens!
